Want to see how your unit measures up in fire building, knots, cooking, camping, leadership and all around Scout spirit? Looking for the opportunity for your Scouts to test their Scout Skills against other patrols in an old school camporee contest? After a year hiatus, it’s time to join the Puget Sound District this October 16th to the 18th for a Scout Skills Showdown at Camp Hahobas! In the tradition of the Bear Essentials camporees, Scout Skills Showdown will provide your patrols with the chance to take home first place in individual contests as well as an over-all best award as a culmination of the day’s events. Sign your unit adult leadership up to run a camporee event by contacting Dave Nease via email at Dr.Nease@yahoo.com and register your troop to attend by signing up at before September 16th 2015 and receive the early bird rate of $18.00 per Scout for registration. Registrations received after October 12th will be $25.00 per Scout. Highlights Traditional camporee program featuring Patrol competition, Campsite judging, fellowship and fun! First, Second and Third place awarded for each event plus a champion for overall camporee combined score. Friday Cracker-barrel, Opening campfire and Closing Campfire scheduled to be completed by 9:30 pm Saturday.
