This training is designed to help Scoutmasters, Assistant Scoutmasters, Venturing Advisors and Varsity Coaches learn the basic skills they need to get started with a successful outdoor program and required to wear the TRAINED patch. This training is built on the outdoor skill requirements in the Scout Handbook for Tenderfoot through First Class Scout. We will start Friday evening, include an overnight campout. Whether you are experienced in the outdoors or just starting out, you will have the chance to learn or refresh your skills in many of the areas that our scouts must learn. Cost: $10 Cost is to cover refreshments, meals (breakfast and lunch on Saturday) and Patch, payment in advance or at registration. Please register early at the Scout Shop. Whole Enchilada V Orca District Adult Leader Training Saturday, October 23rd, 2010 In one day, ORCA district offers the “Whole Enchilada” of training . . . the complete selection of session adult leader training (excluding the Outdoor Leadership training or online training). Come for selected sessions or come for the whole day. This training is excellent for every adult in your unit. The more each adult knows the better a unit performs to meet the needs of our youth. WHO: Scouters and Adults at all levels seeking adult leader training. WHAT: The following training sessions for adults: • Cub Scout leaders (Tiger, Den, and Webelos Leaders, Committee Chair and Cubmaster) • Boy Scout and Varsity Scout leaders (Scoutmaster, Assistant Scoutmaster, Patrol Advisors, and Varsity Leader Specific Training) • Venturing leaders (Venturing Specific Training) • Charter Organization Representative (COR) Training • Lunch Program will include FOS Presenter Training PLEASE TRY TO BRING A COPY OF YOUR LEADER-SPECIFIC HANDBOOK TO THE COURSE AS APPROPRIATE. CALL THE SCOUT SHOP FOR AVAILABILITY. Whole Enchildada V will not include: courses available on-line (Youth Protection Training, “This is Scouting,” etc.), Webelos Outdoor Leader Experience, or Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation. Preparation for Wood Badge: These training sessions satisfy Wood Badge prerequisites for Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Varsity, and Venturing Leaders.
