Mt Adams climb
2:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Mt Adams
Mt. Adams is the final of our Mountaineering events. Mt. Adams is the second tallest mountain in Washington standing at 12,276'. We will leave on Thursday and stay at the base parking lot or alternate camp ground for the first night. The second day we will ascend to a little over 9000' and set up camp at the Lunch Counter. The third day we will climb the last 3000' to the summit then glissade back down and descend to camp at a lower elevation. This climb will be strenuous and does require the Scout to have basic mountaineering skills. It is also highly recommended the Scout attend mountaineering work-ups as part of this climb. This climb is limited to a total group size of 12.
