4/17/2009 (4:30 PM) - 4/19/2009 Indian Island Indian Island is all set up for Advancement Camp on 17-18-19 April. The base Commanding Officer, CDR Loose, wants to greet the boys. We should be there about 1730. We will be staying at the Crane Point recreation area. There are shelters for cooking, running water, and out-houses. There is also a gym facility with showers and heads aways from the camp site, in case that becomes desirable. We will be able to take photographs as long as no industrial facilities are in the background. They are interested in getting copies of the photographs. The Navy forester will be teaching the forestry merit badge. She is fabulous. Any boy who needs the forestry badge would be wise to attend. Directions |
