2/28/2009 8:00 PM to 8:30 PM Kitsap County Fairgrounds Who: Webelos, Boy Scouts, Varsity Scouts and Venturers How to Register: turn in attached form and fees at the Scout Shop by February 13, 2009 (Keep a copy for your records) Fees: $15.00 and (2) 15 ounce or larger cans of soup, (no ‘cream of’) per person. (one can for the food bank and one can will be part of Saturdays lunch) (Fee includes lunch on Saturday, patch and ribbon) Time: Unit arrival & check-in 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm Friday Judges/Leaders meeting Friday evening (time TBD) Unit check-out & departure 10:00 am Sunday Contact: Tracy Raymond (360) 308-9806 after 6 pm or email: tmjr2@wavecable.com This event will be run very similar to a Camporee. Each event will time and test patrols on their team work, winter camping skills, Scouting knowledge, and their problem solving ability. Each patrol/team needs to have a Klondike sled to participate. Patrols/teams will consist of a maximum of 8 participants. o Each patrol/team must submit a roster of participants o All participants must be properly clothed for the weather Bring a garbage can AND gray water bucket (All garbage will be removed and taken home by each unit) Each unit will be assigned a campsite at check-in BE PREPARED to work on a service project Each unit is responsible to obtain a Tour Permit for this event. (as well as any other BSA required permits) Sleds: Each sled needs to display the patrol flag and troop number. Required supplies need to be secured on the sled. SLED SAFETY: o Each Patrol/team Leader is expected to be in complete control of his team at all times. o At no point, should the safety of others around or in front of the sled be compromised.
