Urban Hike to REI for Philmont Crew 710D (Charlie, Brody & Mr. Bougan) - only going to be 5 miles, so doesn't count toward Hiking MB

1. Plan. Hope everyone is excited about our first Philmont crew hike over to REI! Should be both fun and informational. Our first hike is scheduled for this upcoming Saturday 29 Dec. Here is the plan:

0930 Meet @ Central Market Parking lot (across from Taco Time.)
0945 Carpool & depart
1025 BI-Seattle ferry - walk on
1105 Hike to REI
1200 Arrive REI
1530 Depart REI
1640 Seattle-BI ferry walk on
1730 Arrive at Central Market Parking lot (across from Taco Time.)

2. Drivers: If you are able to drive to the ferry terminal, please send me the following information: Name, seats, license & insurance coverage so
so I can get a BSA tour permit. I figure we'll need aprox 5 drivers.

3. Parents: This trip is open to the parents of the Philmont crew. You are welcome to come along to listen to the discussions on camping/hiking gear. We will have some demonstrations on the ferry ride over and of course while at REI. You are more than welcome to drive over and meet us at the REI store. (And that would simplify how we get our props from the ferry-to REI-and back to the ferry. If interested please RSVP w/ me.)

4. Cost -- Everyone will need to have/purchase a walk-on ferry ticket for the ride back from Seattle. Cost $5.40 youth; $6.70 adult. Additionally you will need $$ for lunch unless you bring one.

5. PLEASE BRING: Bring walking shoes, warm clothes, day knapsack, water, lunch (or $$), rain gear, and $$ if planning on purchasing any equipment/gear at REI. (recommend you check-out their website http://www.rei.com/stores/seattle/index.html for planning purposes.)

6. Uniform: Class B (some type of scouting shirt.)
