8/17/2024 - 8/23/2024 Mt Whitney Joint trip with Venture Crew 1548. We will travel to California to climb Mount Whitney, the highest mountain in the contiguous 48 states at 14,505 feet elevation. This will be a very strenuous trip. Scouts should have significant previous experience backpacking and/or mountaineering, such as Philmont, Mount Adams, or The Brothers. All participants must be approved by Mr. Gill (the troop mountaineering coordinator). Estimated cost for the trip will be $400-500. If you have questions, please contact Mr. Gill at bgill@spu.edu. |
