Troop 1539

Patrol of the quarter is a Troop 1539 competition, held on a quarterly basis- the periods are:

Where patrols are evaluated using the following criteria:

Attendance - the number of patrol members who attended an event from that category during the quarter- you get 1 point per member, but some categories are further weighted to reflect the greater difficulty (e.g. Camping counts more than meetings as it is a greater commitment/importance)

- Service Projects - weight 2x
- Hiking
- Special Events
- Fund Raisers
- Meeting
- Training
- Chores - weight 3x
- Patrol Events
- OA Events
- Cycling
- Recruiting Events
- Paddles
Accomplishments - number of patrol Merit Badges earned by patrol members or advanced in Rank during the quarter (only one advancment per scout/per quarter though- so going from Tenderfoot to First Class in one quarter only counts as one advancement)
- Rank Advancement - weight 5x
- Merit Badges - weight 3x
Head to head competitions - 10 points times the position (first to last) for competitions between patrols (varies by quarter, but will always include a uniform check)
