Adjutant
Appointed by the SPL with the advice and approval of the Scoutmaster. The instructor is an older troop member proficient both in a scouting skill and the ability to teach that skills.

Assistant Patrol Leader
Appointed by the Patrol Leader. Performs the duties of Patrol Leader in his absence; assists and supports the patrol leader in all endeavors.

- Lead the patrol in the patrol leader's absence.

Assistant Senior Patrol Leader
The assistant senior patrol leader is the second highest ranking junior leader in the troop. He is elected by the boys of the troop with the approval of the Scoutmaster. The assistant senior patrol leader acts as the senior patrol leader in the absence of the senior patrol leader or when called upon. He also provides leadership to other junior leaders in the troop. Upon completion of his tour, he fleets up to be the SPL. Must be at least Star Rank.

- Be responsible for training and giving direct leadership to the following appointed junior leaders: historian, OA Troop Representative, scribe, librarian, instructor, quartermaster, chaplain aide.
- Help lead troop meetings, events, and activities as called upon by the SPL.

- Perform tasks assigned by the SPL.
- Function as a member of the Patrol Leader's Council.

Chaplains Aide
Appointed by the SPL with the advice and approval of the Scoutmaster. The chaplain aide works with the troop chaplain to meet the religious needs of Scouts in the troop. He also works to promote the religious emblems program.

Specific Duties:
- Keep troop leaders appraised of religious holidays when planning activities.
- Assist the Troop Chaplain or religious coordinator in meeting the religious needs of the troop members while on activities.
- Encourage saying grace at meals while camping or on activities.
- Lead "Scouts own" services on campouts.
- Tell troop members about the religious emblems programs for their faith.

Den Chief
Appointed by the SPL with the advice and approval of the Scoutmaster. The den chief works with the Cub Scouts, Webelos Scouts and den leaders in the Cub Scout pack.
Responsible to: The Assistant Scoutmaster for new Scouts and the designated Den Leader
Specific Duties:
- Serve as the activities assistant at den meetings.
- Meet regularly with the den leader to review the den and pack meeting plans.
- If serving as a Webelos Den Chief, help prepare boys to join Boy Scouting.
- Project a positive image of Boy Scouting.

Historian
Appointed by the SPL with the advice and approval of the Scoutmaster. The historian keeps a historical record or scrapbook of troop activities.

- Gather pictures and facts about past activities of the troop and keep them in scrapbooks, wall displays, and information files.
- Take care of troop trophies and keepsakes.
- Keep information about troop alumni.

Junior Assistant Scoutmaster
The junior assistant Scoutmaster serves in the capacity of an assistant Scoutmaster except where legal age and maturity are required. He must be at least 16 years old and not yet 18. He's appointed by the Scoutmaster because of his leadership ability.

- Function as an assistant Scoutmaster (except for leadership responsibilities reserved for adults 18 and 21 years of age and older).

Leave No Trace Trainer
Appointed by the SPL with the advice and approval of the Scoutmaster.

Specific Duties:
- Instruct Leave No Trace skills as needed within the troop or patrols.
- Prepare well in advance for each teaching assignment.
- Follow the Principles of Leave No Trace and Outdoor Code, set a good example during all outings and lead by example.

Librarian
Appointed by the SPL with the advice and approval of the Scoutmaster. The librarian takes care of troop literature, for example Merit Badge.

- Establish and maintain a troop library.
- Keep records on literature owned by the troop.
- Add new or replacement items as needed.
- Have literature available for borrowing at troop meetings.
- Maintain a system to check literature in and out.

Order of the Arrow Troop Rep
The Order of the Arrow Troop Representative is a youth liaison serving between the local OA lodge or chapter and his troop. In his troop he serves serves as a communication and programmatic link to the Arrowman and adult leaders and who are not presently members of the Order. He does this in a fashion that strengthens the mission of the lodge and purpose of the Order. By setting a good example, he enhances the image of the Order as a service arm to his troop.
Responsible to: Assistant Senior Patrol Leader
Specific Duties:
- Serve as a communication link between the lodge or chapter and the troop.
- Encourage year-round and resident camping in the troop.
- Encourage older-Scout participation in high-adventure programs.
- Encourage Scouts to actively participate in community service projects.
- Assist with leadership skills training in the troop.
- Encourage Arrowmen in the troop to be active participants in lodge and/or chapter activities and to seal their membership in the Order by becoming Brotherhood members.

Patrol Leader
Elected by the boys of the troop. Provide leadership and service to the troop through the patrol leader's council. He represents his patrol on the patrol leader's council. Must be at least First Class Rank.

- Plan and lead patrol meetings and activities.

- Keep equipment storage area neat and clean.
- Issue equipment and see that it is returned in good order.
- Work with troop committee member responsible for equipment.
- Set a good example.

Scribe
Appointed by the SPL with the advice and approval of the Scoutmaster. The scribe keeps the troop records. He records the activities of the patrol leaders' council and keeps a record of dues, advancement, and Scout attendance at troop meetings.
Responsible to: Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, Troop Committee Advancement Chair and Treasurer.
Specific Duties:
- Attend a keep a log of PLC meetings.
- Record attendance and dues payments of all troop members.
- Record advancement in troop records and on Troop Advancement Chart.
- Work with appropriate troop committee members responsible for finance, records, and advancement.
- Handle correspondence appropriately.

Senior Patrol Leader
Fleets up from ASPL, the SPL provides leadership and service to the troop through the patrol leader's council. Everything that the troop does or fails to do results from the decisions made by the patrol leader's council, of which he is the head.

- Chair the patrol leader's council.

The troop guide works with new Scouts. He helps them feel comfortable and earn their First Class rank in their first year.

- Guide new scouts through early Scouting activities.
- Shield new scouts from harassment by older scouts.

- Work with the patrol leader at the PLC meetings.

- Maintain a usable information site for use by scouts, parents, and interested boys
- Publish calendar, permission forms, news, and other information
- Publish documents, forms, and information requested by troop leaders
- Keep troop information up to date and published in a timely manner
- Train and assist other scouts in troop positions with maintaining their areas
- Wear my uniform correctly, set a good example, practice the Scout Oath and Law
- Fulfill the requirements of this position for 6 months.
